Can I play together with other musicians?

Playing music synchronously is a tricky issue. Unfortunately, it will never be physically possible to play together with a common setup using a video conferencing system without latency, at all. The sound transmission within a room already requires approx. 30 ms at a distance of 10 meters, as shown in this article: www.gbaudio.co.uk/data/time. Each component of the technical equipment (microphone, adapter, ethernet cable, laptop) adds another delay to the audio signal, and the biggest obstacle is the instability of the internet connection.
However, we have worked hard to keep the latency as low as possible. With a fast and stable internet connection, a latency of less than 80ms can be achieved. Many of our users have reported that they have been able to play along with their students on slow pieces.

Here is a great article on latency in our blog: https://sirius.video/en/blog/latency-during-teaching-music-online.
